Ask someone why they did not buy an electric car and they will rarely say price. They will describe a specific trip — a pilgrimage four hundred kilometres away, a monsoon night, a stretch of road with nothing on it.
That trip is a network problem, not a vehicle problem. Modern batteries already cover it. What is missing is the certainty of a working charger at the right interval, which is why corridor siting follows a different logic to city siting.
In a city you optimise for dwell time: malls, offices, hotels, places where the car is parked anyway. On a highway you optimise for spacing, redundancy and the quality of the wait. A single point on a corridor is a liability; a driver who finds it occupied has no fallback. We will not build fewer than two connectors on a corridor site.
The waiting experience matters more than operators admit. Light, a clean washroom, food within sight, and enough visibility from the road that a tired driver at 11pm feels safe stopping. These are not amenities. They are utilisation drivers.
