What we collect

When you submit a franchise enquiry or contact form we collect your name, phone number, email address, the city or location you are asking about, and anything you choose to write in the message field. Nothing on this site requires you to create an account.

When you use a Chargatt charging point we record the session: which connector, how much energy was delivered, how long it took, and the payment reference. This is operational data we need in order to bill correctly and to diagnose faults.

Like most websites we also collect basic technical information — browser type, approximate region, and which pages were visited. We use this in aggregate to understand what people are looking for.

How we use it

Enquiry details are used to respond to your enquiry. A partnership manager will call or email you about the location you asked about. We do not add enquiry contacts to marketing lists without a separate opt-in.

Session data is used to bill you, to produce your GST invoice, to monitor charger health, and to plan where the network should expand next. Aggregated and anonymised session data may inform published network statistics.

Newsletter subscribers receive one email a month. Every email carries a working unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing removes you from the list immediately.

What we never do

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade or share contact lists with third parties for their own marketing. If someone contacts you claiming to represent Chargatt after you gave your details to another company, it did not come from us.

We do not track you across other websites for advertising purposes, and we do not embed third-party advertising pixels on this site.

Who we share it with

Payment processing is handled by regulated payment partners who receive only what they need to complete the transaction. We never store full card numbers on our systems.

We use standard infrastructure providers for hosting, email delivery and customer support tooling. These providers process data on our instructions and are bound by contract to protect it.

We will disclose information where we are legally required to — for example in response to a valid order from a court or a competent authority.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not progress are deleted after twenty-four months. Active partner and customer records are retained for the life of the relationship and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting law requires.

Charging session records are retained for seven years to satisfy financial record-keeping obligations.

Your rights

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it if it is wrong, ask us to delete it where we are not legally required to keep it, and withdraw consent for marketing at any time.

Write to contact@chargatt.com and we will respond within thirty days. There is no charge for making a request.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access to personal information inside the company is limited to staff who need it to do their job, and that access is logged.

No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your data we will tell you and the relevant authority promptly, with a plain description of what happened and what we are doing about it.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page and, for significant changes, notify registered users directly.

Questions about privacy go to contact@chargatt.com, or by post to Chargatt Private Limited, Chargatt Pvt Ltd, Ganpati Enclave, Dabwali Road, Bathinda — 151001.
